ICGTIS VI Kicks Off: Bringing Together Mathematics Experts at Hasanuddin University

Makassar, September 7, 2024 — The International Conference on General Theory and Its Applications (ICGTIS VI), organized by the Department of Mathematics at FMIPA Hasanuddin University, has officially commenced. The three-day event brings together researchers, academics, and practitioners to share the latest knowledge and innovations in the field of mathematics.

Day One: Plenary Session and Celebration

The first day of the conference began with a plenary session featuring renowned keynote and invited speakers. The hybrid format of the event facilitated participation from around the globe. The session was opened with a detailed report by the Chair of the Organizing Committee, Prof. Dr. Nurdin, S.Si., M.Si., outlining the conference agenda and objectives.

Following the report, Prof. Hilda Assiyatun, Ph.D., President of InaCombS, delivered the opening remarks. In her speech, Prof. Hilda emphasized the importance of international collaboration in advancing mathematical science. The official opening was then conducted by Hasanuddin University’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.S., who expressed the university’s full support for the event and hoped that the conference would make a significant contribution to scientific advancement.

The first day also featured a Celebration Session honoring Professors Anna Llado and Oriol Serra for their outstanding contributions to the field of mathematics.

Day Two: Parallel Sessions with 75 Presentations

On the second day, participants engaged in parallel sessions where 75 abstracts were presented by various researchers and academics. Each presentation offered new insights and the latest findings across different branches of mathematics, providing a platform for in-depth discussions and idea exchanges. The parallel sessions are expected to broaden knowledge and open up opportunities for further collaboration among participants.

Day Three: Tour to Rammang-Rammang

The final day of the conference concluded with a tour to Rammang-Rammang, a renowned natural destination known for its stunning karst mountain landscapes and rock formations. This tour offered participants a chance to relax and enjoy the natural beauty while strengthening social connections outside the academic setting.
