Intended Learning Outcomes (ILO)

Mathematics Study Program formulates the Intended Learning Outcomes (ILO) that describes the knowledge, abilities/skills, and competencies that are needed by graduates in their professional life after completing the program. The intended learning outcomes are categorized in four fields of competence including professional competencies and aspects of personal development as follows:

Knowledge (K):

ILO 1.The students have a relatively deep understanding of basic pure mathematics and simple applied mathematics.
ILO 2. The students are able to identify objects, techniques, and theorems in fundamental mathematics, and making a connection for solving problems.

Ability (A):

ILO 3.The students are able to analyse a mathematical problem with logic, analytic, and systematic structure.
ILO 4.The students are able to use their sufficiently mathematical critical thinking for abstraction and generalization of a mathematical problem.

Competence (C):

ILO 5.The students are able to construct mathematical modelling with relatively new ideas and present the results orally and in writing.
ILO 6.The students are able to apply the mathematical method for solving a mathematical related-problem with or without the aid of computers and software.
ILO 7.The students are able to demonstrate mathematical skills which includes interpretation, connecting problems, solving problems, and communicating individually or teamwork.

Social (S):

ILO 8.The students have an integrity that highly values the supreme divinity, social responsibility, and professional ethics.
ILO 9.The students are able to adapt and develop self-abilities, both in mathematics and other relevant areas of science in their professional lives.
