Bachelor Program in Mathematics was established on August 17, 1963, together with the establishment of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Universitas Hasanuddin. At the time, the program has only three teaching staffs (Dra. Nurul Muchlisa, Drs. Sukirman, and Drs. A Suhardjono) who served mathematics and statistics teaching in all departments/study programs at Universitas Hasanuddin. During the first couple of years, there were no students enrolled in this Study Program (SP) until 1973, where some students were accepted in diploma levels. After graduating the students had to continue their study at Bandung Institute Technology to finish their bachelor degree (B.Sc.). Started from 1981, the SP conducted a bachelor degree program. Since 1998, the Bachelor Program in Mathematics is accredited by the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Indonesia (BAN-PT). The last accreditation is awarded grade “Unggul” BAN-PT with accreditation number 8197/SK/BAN-PT/AK-ISK/S/XII/2020. The accreditation is valid from 15-12-2020 until 04-09-2025. Besides that, the Bachelor Program in Mathematics is accredited by ASIIN until 30-09-2026
