The Department of Mathematics warmly welcomed a visit from Athirah Islamic High School in Bone

On Thursday (09/07), the Bachelor Program in Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences,Hasanuddin University once again received visitors. This time, a group from Athirah Islamic High School in Bone Regency came to visit the campus. A total of 72 students, including accompanying teachers, from Athirah Islamic High School in Bone were warmly welcomed by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. This demonstrates that the MIPA Faculty at Hasanuddin University is always open to receiving visits from high schools and other institutions.

The visit was personally welcomed by Dr. Syahribulan, M. Sc., the Vice Dean for Partnerships, Research, and Innovation at the MIPA Faculty. The welcoming event took place in the Science Building on the ground floor at the Ballroom of the MIPA Faculty at Hasanuddin University. The welcoming activities for the visit began at 10:00 AM and continued until the end. The first part of the visit was opened by Dr. Khaeruddin, M. Sc., the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs. He expressed, “It is an honor for us at the MIPA Faculty to welcome students and teachers from Athirah Islamic High School in Bone, who have come a long way to visit Makassar, specifically our campus, to learn more about the MIPA Faculty.”

“The students from Athirah Islamic High School in Bone who are visiting consist of 12th and 10th graders. The 12th graders are here to gather information about the study programs at the MIPA Faculty, as they are preparing to continue their studies after graduating from high school. Meanwhile, the 10th graders are here to gain more insights and prepare thoroughly, as the new curriculum emphasizes independent learning and eliminates subject specialization. This, of course, requires careful selection of subjects to achieve their future goals,” stated Syamsul Bahri, S.Pd.I., M.Pd., the Head of Athirah Islamic High School in Bone.

After the opening and welcoming activities, the students from Athirah Islamic High School in Bone were further introduced to and provided in-depth information about the MIPA Faculty. The students showed great enthusiasm, as evidenced by the numerous questions they asked about the quality of education, the learning environment, and the career prospects for each program after graduation. The visit concluded with a tour of the facilities available within the scope of the MIPA Faculty at Hasanuddin University.
