Makassar, 30 May 2026 – Students from the Bachelor’s Programme in Mathematics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Hasanuddin University, have once again achieved a proud accomplishment at national level. Six students from the Unhas Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences won awards at the 2026 Mathematical Analysis & Geometry Day (MagD) competition, organised by the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB).
This prestigious national competition was attended by 126 teams, comprising 252 participants from various universities across Indonesia. The event took place at the Bandung Institute of Technology on 2 May and 30 May 2026, providing a platform for students to test their academic abilities, analytical skills and sharpness of thought in the fields of mathematical analysis and geometry.
In the individual category, students from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Unhas won six medals, as detailed below:

In addition to individual achievements, Unhas students also achieved success in the team category. Muhammad Hilmi Naufal and La Ode Abdul Aziz secured first place, whilst Muhammad Gian Gymnas Al Alim and Sabil Khairat Amruddin secured second runner-up.
